Our Head Chiropractor
My name is Dr. Jae Hyun cho and I am a Chiropractor. I have done my chiropractic training at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic Collage and graduated on 2019. Before that, I received B.Sc (Hons) in Kinesiology and health science at York university on 2014.
Since 2019, I have worked as chiropractor at the Sigma Chiropractic and rehabilitation clinic. I am responsible of not only providing evidence-based treatments and addressing their needs, but complete MVA/WSIB forms and answer any medical questions the patients may have. From this experience, I can both polish my interpersonal and teamwork skills to its finest levels.
During my time as health professional, I have learned how to effectively time-manage and prioritize, and I also have been pushed to cultivate higher order thinking and inquiry skills. Along with my clinical experiences, I have interacted with other health professionals to improve patients well being, which required me to organize different stations to train new staff members and, evaluate the current staff members. I was also responsible in identifying common mistakes and how to improve them, while using effective communication skills verbally and through emails. Through these experiences, I have become very efficient in teamwork settings and conducting activities with large group of people.
My healing philosophy
As a musculoskeletal and joints expert, I believe in evidence-based approach and patient center care. Which means that I use scientific methods to diagnose my patients and provide tailored care for my patients need.
SMT (Spinal Manipulation therapy)/ Joint Mobilizations: manipulate the joints using high velocity and low amplitude methods to induce a movement and decrease the tightness of the surrounding muscle structures which will lead to decrease pain level.
Soft tissue therapy (STT)/ Soft tissue release (STR): Methods to relax tight and tender muscles
Rehabilitation exercises: Capable to provide exercise to restore the function of the injured area.
Use modalities such as IFC/laser to enhance the healing of the injuries.
Area of interest/capable of treating: Headache, neck pain, shoulder pain, upper/low back pain, elbow, wrist, knees and ankles
